I think the Twitter ad campaign is a great example of the impact that online blogging can have. As technology continues to advance the forms of communication, it is important that PR practitioners be able to respond quickly and appropriately in times of crisis.
I'm in a Corporate Communications class this semster, and we had to complete group papers. One group had a member twitter that they were writing a paper about the online shoe company Zappos, and somehow, an executive from Zappos saw it. They immediately contacted this person and offered to send them information and anything else they may need to complete the project. I thought it was amazing that Twitter could connect a college student with an executive from an online shoe company.
