Chrysler Foundation Donates $100,000
I just read an article about the Chrysler Foundation donating $100,000 to the National Infantry Foundation, Inc. This is in support of the National Infantry Foundation's capital campaign to construct a museum and soldier center in Columbus, GA. I think it is great that such a large corporation has a foundation that is able to donate to great causes such as this. Not only is it good publicity in terms of public relations strategies, but it also displays the company's strong belief in corporate social responsibility.

Does Chrysler have a plant in Georgia? Did the article say how they chose to donate to that group? It is a great thing, I was just wondering what the link was between Chrysler and that area of Georgia.
By giving back to the community Chrysler is getting good PR and the community is getting their museum and soldier center. It is a win-win situation!
Kat--I found a similar article about large companies donating their funds to relief efforts--this is a great way to boost positive PR, and promote the feeling of goodwill, something we all could use a little more of!
