Writing is underrated. The form of expression is so often dealt with from day to day that it loses its luster and one forgets to appreciate its beauty. It is something that can take on many forms. It will forever be changing and should never become mundane. The forms of writing can speak volumes and say incredibly complex and intuitive things. Or it can say one simple sentence, "wash the dog" for example. However a simple sentence such as this can can be cause for analysis. Who wrote it? Is the writer so comfortable with the reader that there need not be any explanation, just a simple command? Does the shortness of the sentence display anger or frustration? Or maybe the writer was just in a hurry.
This is writing to me. An art. Something beautiful that is waiting to be taken and molded. Writing is like a bare plot of land. I look at it and think "wow, what a gift. What different things can I possibly do with this?"
And the truth is.....so much! I can write a poem and express my emotions. I can write a love letter and communicate with another. I can write a press release and make things happen. I can write a novel and entertain.
.....or I can write "wash the dog" and evoke anger in my little brother.
