Writing can sometimes be viewed as a dreaded task. Writing a term paper, a research paper, or even just an opinion piece. I will be the first one to admit that I do not always love to write. It is sometimes hard to get started, organize it right, or even just get the right message down. But just because I do not always enjoy writing, does not mean that writing is not vitally important to my life. When people first hear the term "writing" their first thoughts are bad, taking them back through all of the years spent writing long, boring papers for boring classes, about boring topics. And yes, this is sometimes how I think of writing too. But when I really think about it, I realize that I could not even operate in a regular day without some sort of writing. Typing an email, sending a facebook message, or even sending a text all involve writing. Writing to me is a way to stay connected. In the busy lives we live, it is difficult to take the time to sit down and have an actual face to face conversation, or even a phone conversation at times. Without writing, I could go days without having a conversation with my friends and family. Writing to me is a way for me to share my thoughts, feelings, and current happenings with those I may not have the luxury to see in person.
This class blog provides a forum for PR students to practice their blog writing and learn more about social media in PR practice.

I agree, I too at times have a difficult time writing...especially when I am being forced to write! But even though it can be difficult at times, I love to look back on what I wrote and understand the thoughts and feelings I had in the moment.
