What writing means to me...
Writing to me, means a way to express myself in a way that verbal language is unable to. Through writing I can express all of my thoughts and feeling at once while having the chance to organize them into a clearer message. Being able to organize my message is very important to me because I am a very timid speaker, therefore many times I do not relay my intended message to the receiver. I love that I can go back and add or delete details at any point in time so I can emphasize certain aspects or take out the unnecessary fluff. The best thing about writing is that it allows me to edit my thoughts.

I completely agree with everything you've said here! Writing makes communicating so much easier! When I try to verbally communicate I often find myself forgetting something I wanted to say, or not finding the right way to say it. With writing I can make sure it is all there before the message is communicated. There have been many times when I have said something, and instantaneously I realize, maybe I shouldn't have said that, or I should have said it in a different way. In writing however, you have that moment you can logically think through what you want to say, and ensure that you say it correctly. Writing definitely is an edited version of one's thoughts, and I love to think of it in that way.

I think this is a really interesting idea, I like it. The idea of using writing as a tool to go back and perfect one's thoughts...
