Even though many people dread the thought of having to sit down and write a paper or create a story of their own, it has always been something that I have enjoyed doing. I think writing is one of the best ways one can express themselves. It allows you to be creative and be able to share that creativity with others. When I was young, I would spend hours writing short stories. I never wrote them intending to share the stories but I just enjoyed sitting down and being able to write what I was thinking about. Now I look back at these stories and realize that they really don't make sense, but it was something that I enjoyed at the time. Even today, I don't seem to mind writing a paper for school or spending time reading on my own. I think that much of our knowledge comes from our ability to express ourselves through writing and being able to read what others share with us.

I completely agree. So many people dread writing, especially papers, and I have always loved it. While I've never written any good short stories, I do think it is the best way to express yourself. Writing helps me get my thoughts in order.
I agree, I think that writing is an excellent way to express how you are thinking/feeling. I too used to love to write stories as a child and to this day enjoy reading the thoughts and ideas that I had when I was young.
I admit I dread writing from time to time but I always remember that it is an outlet for me and I appreciate it.
Katie, I had no idea you had such a flare for writing! Isn't it funny how we can be so passionate about something as a child, but it fades away once we become "adults"? I look forward to reading some of your stories someday!
